Granny's Gaelle chestnut cake recipe for 4 to 6 people :
- 140g chestnut flour
- 4 eggs
- 125g caster sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 20cl cream
- the zest of a lemon
Progression
2) In a bowl whisk the yolks of your eggs along with sugar until fluffy. Then, add the flour and baking powder. Mix well and in corporate the cream and the lemon zest. Allow to rest for 10 minutes.
3) Whisk your egg whites until stiff and carefully, fold them into the batter.
4) Pour the mix into a round baking tin and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Serve your cake warm or cold with some chocolate sauce or custard.
