AFTouch-Cuisine gets a makeover: discover the new website!
A bit of history...
It all started in 2004. At a time when food blogs did not yet exist, Michelin-starred Chef Patrick Asfaux decided to share his recipes with the world. Not simplified or approximate recipes, but real chef recipes, explained with the pedagogy and generosity that characterize him.
Twenty years later, the results are impressive: over 2,500 exclusive recipes, 37,000 forum messages, nearly 100,000 registered members, and millions of visitors who have cooked thanks to AFTouch-Cuisine.
But the web has changed. Screens are smaller, habits have evolved, and we wanted to offer you an experience worthy of our recipes. That is why we completely rebuilt the site from scratch.
Chef Mode: cook with your hands in the flour
This is THE big new feature. On every recipe, a "Chef Mode" button launches a full-screen display, step by step, with text large enough to read from a distance — even with flour-covered hands. Ingredients are checkable on the side, a built-in timer accompanies you, and the icing on the cake: you can navigate by voice! Simply say "next", "previous" or "timer" and the site obeys.
Smart shopping list
Planning a dinner? Add multiple recipes to your shopping list with a single click. Ingredients are automatically grouped, you can check them off as you shop, and even email the list to yourself.
Print your recipe cards
For those who prefer paper, each recipe can be printed as a clear A4 card. And out of respect for the planet, we do not print photos — just the essentials.
Badges for cooks
Every member now has a public profile with badges that reward activity: Cook, Amateur Chef, Contributor, Community Pillar, Veteran... The more you cook and participate, the more badges you earn.
Interactive culinary glossary
Don't know what "blanch", "chinois" or "monter" means? Technical terms in recipes are now clickable. A simple click opens a tooltip with the definition. Over 350 professional culinary terms are at your fingertips.
A new look, the same soul
The site features a new warm brown and gold design that evokes French gastronomy. Navigation is smoother, pages load faster, and everything works perfectly on phone and computer alike.
But under this new dress, it is still the same philosophy: authentic recipes, chef tips, and a passionate community. Thank you for being with us all these years, and welcome to the new AFTouch-Cuisine!
