Cérons
South-West FranceCérons is an appellation d'origine contrôlée red wine produced in the Cérons region of Gironde, France. It is made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, cultivated on the clay-limestone hillsides of the region.
Cérons wine is known for its complex and balanced character. It displays aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, along with notes of blackcurrant and blackberry. It also possesses spicy and woody notes that provide depth and a lingering finish.
Cérons is typically aged in oak barrels for approximately 12 to 18 months, which gives it fine structure and roundness. It is further characterized by good acidity and moderate tannins, which contribute to its freshness.
Cérons pairs excellently with red meats, game, and strong cheeses. It is also an excellent accompaniment to spiced dishes and mushroom-based preparations. It is recommended to serve at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius to fully appreciate its aromas and complexity.
