Côtes du Roussillon Villages Caramany
Languedoc-RoussillonCôtes du Roussillon Villages Caramany
This red wine is produced in the Roussillon region of France, from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre vines cultivated on the clay-limestone soils of Caramany.
The wine displays a deep, sustained color with ruby highlights. On the nose, ripe red fruit aromas emerge, notably cherry and strawberry, accompanied by spice notes and subtle oak nuances. The palate reveals good aromatic complexity, with pleasant roundness and a long, fresh finish.
Côtes du Roussillon Villages Caramany is a wine suited to cellaring, capable of aging up to eight years. It pairs well with spiced dishes such as tagines and red meat preparations, and complements aged cheeses admirably.
Production is limited, and this wine ranks among the finest of the region. It is crafted by small local vignerons who bring considerable skill and dedication to its creation.
