Moulin à Vent
BurgundyMoulin à Vent
Moulin à Vent is a red wine produced in the Beaujolais wine region of France. It is made from Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc grapes, which yield light, fruity red wines.
The name Moulin à Vent derives from the numerous windmills that once dotted the region, historically used for grinding grain. It is also the name of one of Beaujolais's most prestigious crus.
Moulin à Vent wines display a deep ruby color and aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, and violet. They are well-balanced on the palate, with moderate acidity and supple tannins. These wines can be enjoyed young or cellared for several years to develop more complex aromas.
Moulin à Vent pairs well with red meat dishes, strong cheeses, and sauced preparations. It is equally suited to summer evenings on the terrace.
