Saint-Véran

Burgundy
Share
Saint-Véran is a dry white wine produced in the Burgundy region of France. It is made from Chardonnay grapes and ranks among the region's finest offerings. The Saint-Véran vineyard sits on the slopes of the Côte Chalonnaise, between Mâcon and Le Creusot. The soils consist primarily of marl and silt, which impart the wine's mineral character and crisp freshness. Saint-Véran wines display a pale yellow robe with greenish tinges. The bouquet is complex, revealing aromas of apple, pear, lemon, and hazelnut. On the palate, they are dry, fresh, and well-balanced, with bracing acidity and a distinct minerality. Saint-Véran wines are generally approachable upon release, though they can age gracefully for several years. They pair excellently with fish and seafood, as well as poultry and cheese dishes.
