  1. 1.5 kg (3.25 lb) rice
  2. 2 large heads of garlic
  3. 12 chicken hind quarters
  4. 5 pork chops (shoulder)
  5. 1 kg (2.2 lb) cuttlefish white
  6. 1.5 pounds small shrimp
  7. 300 g (10.5 oz) larger shrimp for decoration (king prawns)
  8. 2.5 kg (5.5 lb) large mussels (from Spain)
  9. 1 large can of peeled tomatoes
  10. 8 red and green bell peppers roasted in oven and peeled (now I buy jars with already cooked and peeled peppers, they're very good)
  11. 3 sachets of saffron
  12. salt, pepper, thyme, bay leaf, parsley mixture
