Burgundy Auxerre Côtes
BurgundyBourgogne Côtes d'Auxerre is a red wine produced in the Burgundy wine region of France. It is made from Pinot Noir and Gamay varietals, cultivated on the limestone hillsides of the region. The wine is characterized by aromas of red fruits and forest floor, with notes of cherry and blackcurrant. It is further marked by moderate acidity and soft tannins, which impart an agreeable freshness on the palate.
Côtes d'Auxerre wines are often regarded as superior quality wines, thanks to their finesse and elegance. They are frequently paired with red meat dishes, such as beef bourguignon or coq au vin. They can also accompany strong cheeses, such as comté or cheddar.
