Reuilly

Loire Valley
Share
Reuilly is a white wine produced in the Loire Valley wine region of France. It is made from grape varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay. Reuilly is known for its dry, fresh style, with aromas of stone fruits and exotic fruits. It is also characterized by high acidity that imparts a refreshing sensation on the palate. The Reuilly vineyard is located in the Indre département, within the Centre-Val de Loire region. Surrounded by forests and hills, it benefits from a cool, breezy climate ideally suited to white wine production. The vineyard soils comprise sand and gravel, allowing vine roots to penetrate deeply and extract the minerals essential for varietal development. Reuilly wine production is governed by the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) Reuilly. This means wines produced in the region must comply with strict regulations regarding grape varieties, yields, vinification methods, and aging. Reuilly wines are classified into three categories: vins de pays, vins de coteaux, and vins de premiers crus. Premier cru wines are considered the finest and most prestigious of the appellation. Reuilly is an excellent pairing for fish and seafood dishes. It is equally suited to accompanying salads and fresh cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius. Reuilly is a wine best enjoyed young and should ideally be consumed within 2 to 3 years of harvest.
