Vin de Frontignan Vin de Frontignan is produced in the Frontignan-La Peyrade wine region, situated in the Hérault department of Languedoc-Roussillon. It is made from Muscat à Petits Grains and Muscat d'Alexandrie, grape varieties that yield sweet, fruity wines with aromas of ripe grapes and flowers. For centuries, the Frontignan region has been renowned for its sweet wines, a tradition with deep historical roots in local culture. Local winemakers have developed unique methods for producing superior quality sweet wines, and Vin de Frontignan exemplifies the fruits of these efforts. The wine is produced from grapes harvested at full maturity, then pressed and fermented to create a sweet, sugary wine. Following fermentation, the wine is bottled and may be consumed immediately or aged to develop greater aromatic complexity and depth of flavor. Frontignan wines are often associated with festive occasions and celebrations, owing to their sweet and fruity character. They are frequently served with desserts or cheese, or enjoyed simply as an aperitif. Several types of Vin de Frontignan exist, each with distinct characteristics and flavor profiles. The most common are Frontignan Muscat, produced from 100 percent Muscat à Petits Grains, and Frontignan Muscat d'Alexandrie, produced from 100 percent Muscat d'Alexandrie. Blended versions also exist, such as Frontignan Blanc and Frontignan Rouge.
