Recipe: Millefeuille of potatoes with 2 peppers
Ingredients for 6 servings
- 2 red peppers.
- 2 green peppers.
- 2.2 lb (1 kg) of firm potatoes.
- 1 sage branch.
- 1 garlic clove.
- 1.7 cups (40 cl) of fresh cream.
- salt, pepper.
- 1.1 qt (1 liter) of whole milk.
Step-by-step directions
1 wash the peppers, then plunge them for 1 minute in a
pot of boiling water. drain them, cool them under running water,
then peel them and deseed them. cut them into wide strips.
2 preheat the oven to 150°(TH.5). peel the potatoes,
slice them into thin rounds. finely chop the sage.
3 rub a gratin dish with the garlic clove, then arrange in it
a layer of potato rounds. coat with half
of the fresh cream, then add green pepper strips.
sprinkle with chopped sage, salt and pepper.
4 repeat the operation with, this time, the red pepper strips.
finish with a layer of potato rounds,
then pour with milk. bake for 2 hours.
