Heads up for Lille locals, I went to the WAAGO restaurant in old Lille where I found this honey chicken wok recipe. Faster than a classic Asian stir-fry, less greasy than a cream version. The honey brings a sweetness that pairs well with soy sauce, ginger, and a pinch of cinnamon. About 30 minutes total cooking time, rice included.
Ingredients for 2 servings
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1.7 fl oz (5 cl) peanut oil
- 1 leek
- 1 broccoli
- 1.7 fl oz (5 cl) honey
- 1.7 fl oz (5 cl) soy sauce
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of ground ginger
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- 5.25 oz (150 g) rice
- 0.4 cup (10 cl) coconut milk and one tablespoon of shredded coconut
