Ingredients
- 1 jar of Dakatine (peanut butter) (425 g)
- 1 can of tomato pulp (400 g)
- salt and pepper
- 3 onions peeled, germ removed and thinly sliced
- a little water
- bird's eye chili peppers
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
This is a typical dish from Réunion Island, simple, economical and very popular in everyday Creole cuisine.
1 In a bowl, add the peanut butter.
2 Add the tomatoes, mixing well each time.
3 Add the finely sliced onion and mix everything together.
4 Add a pinch of salt and pepper. The amount of water depends on the desired consistency.
5 Add two or three crushed bird's eye chili peppers.
6 Serve with fried rice or in a sandwich with a slice of smoked ham.
