Ingredients for 4 servings
- 4 prepared and cleaned quails
- 4 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (dark)
- 1 tablespoon of 4-spice mix (blend of cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg)
- 1 garlic clove
- pepper.
1/ Preheat the oven to 180°.
2/ In a small bowl, mix together the honey, oil, soy sauce, 4-spice mix, minced garlic, and pepper.
3/ Place your quails in an oven-safe dish and brush them with the honey and spice mixture.
4/ Pour a little water into the dish, turn on the oven broiler to caramelize them, turning them so they are well browned. Baste regularly. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes, depending on your oven.
5/ Remove your quails from the oven, if needed deglaze the cooking juices with a little water. That's it, ready to serve!! to the table: -)
