Ingredients for 20 servings
- Goes very well with cold meats, ham, and even cold salmon.
- Keeps in small sealed jars for 2 to 3 months in the fridge.
- 2.2 lb (1 kg) sweet onions
- 12.25 oz (350 g) brown sugar
- 7 oz (200 g) golden raisins
- 2 dl white wine
- 2 dl white vinegar
- 1 clove of garlic, germ removed and crushed
- 1 dessert spoon of curry
Step-by-step recipe
1 Peel and cut the onions into thin slices
2 Put them in a pot with the brown sugar, golden raisins, white wine, white vinegar, garlic with germ removed and crushed, and curry
3 Cook uncovered gently until it reaches the consistency of jam (approximately 1 hour).
4 Let cool, then pour into small clean jars and store in the fridge
