  • Braised pork chops with sauerkraut for 4 people:
  • 4 beautiful pork chops of approximately 200 g (7 oz) each
  • 700 g (25 oz) cooked sauerkraut
  • 80 g (2.8 oz) blanched lardons
  • 1 peeled onion thinly sliced into rings
  • 1 slightly acidic apple (granny smith)
  • 30 cl (1.25 cups) blonde beer
  • butter and oil or a knob of lard
  • salt and freshly ground pepper
