Ingredients for 8 servings
Strawberry Cake for 6 to 8 people:The sponge cake:
- A sponge cake baked in a tall square mold (if possible)

- 1.1 cups (25 cl) of whole milk
- 1.75 oz (50 g) of caster sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 0.9 oz (25 g) of cornstarch
- vanilla flavoring (vanilla bean or vanilla sugar)
- Buttering
- 4.25 oz (120 g) of fine butter
- Strawberries
- 28 oz (800 g) of tasty strawberries of medium size
- 0.8 cup (20 cl) of strawberry syrup of good quality mixed with 1.4 fl oz (4 cl) of Kirsch (not mandatory)
- Proposed decorations or almond paste or powdered sugar
