The Perfect French Breakfast rich and satisfying
Ingredients for 1 servings
- 1 soft-boiled egg
- A glass of fresh orange juice
- And apple butter (recipe below)
- 25 oz (700 g) of apples
- 1 tsp of liquid vanilla
- 1.7 fl oz (5 cl) of water
- 2 tbsp of ground almonds
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 2.1 oz (60 g) of butter
Step-by-step recipe
Remove the seeds from the apples, cut them into pieces.
Put them in a saucepan with the honey, vanilla and water
Cook over medium heat. Stir regularly. The apples will gradually release water and reduce. Allow at least 45 minutes of cooking time.
You should be able to easily crush the apples with a fork, the water must have evaporated.
Add the butter. Mix for 1 minute over very low heat.
Pour all ingredients into a blender bowl and blend very finely.
Then add the 2 tablespoons of ground almonds, mix gently then
- Pour into a jam jar and keep in the refrigerator

An indulgent breakfast
Everyone has their own recipe for apple butter. In mine, there are 2 tbsp of ground almonds and 1 tsp of vanilla which brings a subtle taste to garnish my pastries

For the apple butter some people from Normandy add a splash of calvados.
