Recipe: Turnips with Cinnamon
Ingredients for 6 servings
- 1 glass of water
- 2.2 lb (1kg) of turnips
- 1 tablespoon of sugar and butter
- cinnamon powder
- salt, pepper (very little of each)
Step-by-step directions
1 Peel the turnips and cut them into large cubes.
2/ Brown the turnips in the sugar and butter, add the water and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper.
2/ Let simmer for 30 minutes.
Here is a simple, quick recipe that is very good to serve as a side dish.

You may also like small new turnips, turned, steamed and coated with half-salted butter.
