Moulis-en-Médoc is a small village situated within the Médoc wine region, in the Gironde department of France. It is renowned for its vineyards and quality wines, which fall under the protected designation of origin Médoc appellation.
The village of Moulis-en-Médoc lies approximately 40 kilometers north of Bordeaux, positioned between the communes of Margaux and Listrac-Médoc. It is surrounded by vineyards and oak forests, which create an exceptional natural setting. The village is also home to prestigious estates such as Château Poujeaux, Château Chasse-Spleen, and Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste.
Moulis-en-Médoc represents one of five sub-appellations within the Médoc, alongside Margaux, Pauillac, Saint-Julien, and Saint-Estèphe. Wines produced in this region are predominantly red wines, crafted from varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Moulis-en-Médoc wines are recognized for their balance and finesse, offering aromas of red fruits and blackcurrant.
