Patrimonio
Provence & CorsicaPatrimonio
Patrimonio is a red wine produced on the island of Corsica, France. It hails from the Patrimonio region, situated in the northern part of the island and renowned for wines of genuine quality. Patrimonio is produced from local grape varieties, primarily Nielluccio, which yields fruity and spicy red wines, alongside Sciacarello, prized for its aromas of cherry and blackberry.
Patrimonio is a complex and well-balanced wine, with soft tannins and fine acidity. It is aged in oak barrels to develop structure and depth. The wine is also distinguished by its length on the palate and notable aromatic persistence.
Patrimonio pairs excellently with red meat dishes, charcuterie, assertive cheeses, and spiced preparations. It is equally suited to classic Corsican cuisine, including cured meats, local cheeses, and fish and seafood preparations.
The Patrimonio vineyards have held Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) status since 1968. This classification guarantees the quality and authenticity of wines produced in this region. The vignerons of Patrimonio take pride in their winemaking heritage and remain committed to producing wines of superior quality.
