1/ Cut the sandwich bread slices diagonally to form triangles.
Slice the bell pepper into short, thin strips. Wash and drain the lettuce. Peel the mandarin and separate the segments. Peel the kiwi and slice it thinly.
Cut the lemon into thin slices then into 1/2 or 1/4 slices.
2/Salmon: prepare scrambled eggs with the 3 eggs and sour cream, salt and pepper. On a slice of whole wheat bread, place a spoonful of scrambled eggs, then 1/2 slice of smoked salmon. Decorate with a lemon slice.
3/ Shrimp Smorrebrod: on a slice of white sandwich bread, generously spread a spoonful of mayonnaise. Arrange shrimp on top. Decorate with a strip of bell pepper.
4/ Roast beef Smorrebrod: on a slice of whole wheat sandwich bread, place a small lettuce leaf then a slice of roast beef. Decorate with a sprig of parsley.
5/ Cheese Smorrebrod: on a slice of sandwich bread (whole wheat for Emmental, white for Brie), place a small lettuce leaf then 2 slices of cheese.
Decorate with a mandarin segment or a small kiwi slice.
6/ Let your imagination run wild.
It is possible to make Smorrebrod with ham, sausage and other cheeses!
To complete: prepare a savory platter with smoked fish (salmon, herring), lumpfish roe on toast or on blinis. Offer fresh cheese, Swedish breads and Swedish waffles.
