Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 1 large tablespoon of cocoa powder
- 200 g of icing sugar
- 125 g of ground almonds
- 1 large tablespoon of caster sugar
- Nutella
I tried to simplify this macaron recipe as much as possible. You will therefore need to follow the instructions to the letter!
1- Whip the egg whites with the icing sugar. They should be very stiff.
2- In another bowl, mix the ground almonds, cocoa and sugar. Mix well. The result should be a very fine powder. If not, blend it.
3- Gently fold the whites into the almond-cocoa mixture to obtain a uniform and smooth preparation.
Take a piping bag and fill it with the mixture. On a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, pipe small rounds of 2-3 cm, no more (the batter will spread slightly). Be as regular as possible!
4- Let them "crust" for about 1 hour 30 minutes.
5- Preheat the oven to 150°C.
6- When the crust is ready (check with your fingertips if the top of the macarons has hardened), bake for 12 minutes.
7- Remove them and let them cool. After peeling them off the parchment paper (put a little water under the paper, this helps with removal), spread Nutella on them and close them like little sandwiches!
