Ingredients for 4 servings
- 200 g round rice
- 1 l milk
- 60 g cane sugar or brown sugar
- 6 cardamom seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Shredded coconut
Rinse the rice
Pour it into a large pot of cold water
Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes
Drain it, refresh it and drain again
Break the cardamom seeds and grind them finely
Pour the milk into a pot and add the ground seeds
Bring slowly to a boil
Add the rice and let it cook covered for 30 minutes on low heat
At the end of cooking, the rice should have absorbed all the milk and be very soft
Add the sugar, mix gently
Form large pearls with the rice once cooled
Roll them in shredded coconut
Insert wooden picks into them
