  • To make the mille feuille we need:
  • puff pastry, pastry cream and icing sugar.
  • for the puff pastry: you can buy it from your pastry chef or in a supermarket, but if you know how to make it, that's better.
  • 500 g (17.75 oz) puff pastry
pastry cream:
  • milk 500 g (17.75 oz)
whole eggs 2
  • caster sugar 125 g (4.4 oz)
  • cream powder 45 g (1.6 oz) (or cornstarch)
  • butter 30 g (1.1 oz)
flavoring: vanilla or Rum
