This version of apple tart is composed of shortbread dough, applesauce and excellent apples, a very good tart indeed it will be more fragile to cut but it will be as tasty as you could wish

Ingredients for 6 servings

  • 17.75 oz (500 g) of shortbread dough
  • 5 Pink Lady or Royal Gala apples: 3 peeled, cored, squeezed with lemon juice, cut in half and sliced into thin strips and 2 peeled, cored and cut into large dice
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
  • a few drops of untreated lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
