Chiroubles

Burgundy
Share
Chiroubles is a red wine produced in the Beaujolais wine region of France. It is made from Gamay grapes, which yield a fruity and light wine with aromas of cherry, strawberry, and blackcurrant. The Chiroubles vineyard is situated in the mountains of the Massif Central, at altitudes reaching up to 600 metres. The granitic soils and the region's particular climatic conditions allow the grapes to ripen slowly, conferring a distinctive character upon the wine. Chiroubles is often described as a wine of thirst, meaning it is easy to drink and may be enjoyed at any time of day. It is equally noted for its freshness and lightness, with soft tannins and well-balanced acidity. Chiroubles pairs well with light dishes and seasonal fare, such as salads, seafood, and fresh cheeses. It is equally suited to aperitifs and summer meals.
