Ingredients
- Christmas hazelnut croissants for about thirty biscuits for people:
- 150 g of type 55 flour
- 20 g of caster sugar
- 100 g of butter
- 50 g of hazelnut powder
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- Icing sugar (to sprinkle on the biscuits)
1- Mix all ingredients EXCEPT icing sugar until you obtain a large ball of dough.
2- Take pieces of dough and shape small croissants about 3 cm long (so you can eat them in one or two bites) and place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
3- Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).
4- When the oven is hot, bake your croissants in the middle of the oven for approximately 10 minutes.
The croissants should lightly brown on the sides.
Remove them from the oven and sprinkle immediately with icing sugar on a cooling rack.
The small hazelnut croissants will be very crumbly while they are hot. So let them rest overnight before enjoying them.
