Ingredients
- 50 g flour
- 50 g almond powder
- 90 g caster sugar
- 40 g brown sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 150 g butter
- 5 egg whites
- 1 pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 200°c.
Sift the flour into a bowl
Add the almond powder, caster sugar, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, the vanilla pod split and scraped. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous consistency.
Melt the butter. Meanwhile, beat the egg whites until very stiff peaks form with the salt.
Fold the beaten egg whites into the batter. Add the melted butter. Mix gently.
Butter the molds and distribute the batter into the molds, put in the oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, do not let them brown too much
Remove the molds from the oven, unmold the financiers, place them on a rack and let cool
You can coat these cakes with chocolate glaze, if you feel like it or enjoy them plain, it's just as good.
