Ingredients for 4 servings
- 400 g of short grain rice
- 550 ml of dashi
- 300 g of chestnuts
- 1 tbsp of mirin
- 1 tbsp of sake
- 1/2 tsp of salt
1- Wash the rice and place it in a strainer to drain for 30 minutes.
2- Cook the chestnuts in boiling water for a few minutes.
3- Peel them and cut them in half if they are large.
4- Put the rice, mirin, sake, salt and dashi in a pot. Mix them gently and place the drained chestnuts on the rice and cook.
5- Fill a bowl with rice and sprinkle with sesame to taste.
