Ingredients
- 2 sachets de sucre vanillé ou extrait de vanille (Tahiti)
- 4 cuillères à soupe de sucre blond,
- 1 pointe de cannelle
- sucre glace
- 3 oeufs fermiers
- 1 litre de lait entier,
- sel
- beurre fin 1/2 sel et quelques gouttes d'huile
1- Prepare a cocotte and pour the milk into it, 4 tablespoons of brown sugar, 2 sachets of vanilla sugar or vanilla extract, the cinnamon and heat over low heat then pour into a shallow dish.
2- Cut the bread either into small pieces or into slices not too thick and soak them in the hot milk until they are completely soaked.
3- Take the soaked bread pieces and dip them into a shallow dish where you will have placed the 3 beaten eggs and added a pinch of salt.
4- Heat a frying pan then add your butter and a few drops of oil when it becomes foamy, place your soaked bread pieces on it then when they are golden, place them on absorbent paper then repeat the operation until the end of your chunks
Dust the French toast with powdered sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
Serve either with a good glass of farm cider or with a good frothy chocolate.
