Abalone
Abalones are molluscs belonging to the Haliotidae family. They are highly prized in cooking for their tender and flavourful flesh. They can be cooked in a variety of ways, such as grilled, pan-fried, in a risotto or even in a soup.
Abalones are often used in fish and seafood recipes. They can be served as a starter, accompanied by a vinaigrette or a butter sauce, or as a main course with vegetables and pasta. They also pair very well with spices and aromatic herbs, such as parsley, garlic or thyme.
Abalones are also highly appreciated in Asian cuisine, where they are often used in soups and stir-fries. They are also very popular in Europe, where they are often served with potatoes and vegetables.
