Les Baux de Provence

The area Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur conceals treasures for the amateurs of good specialties, as well out of culinary matter as as regards vineyards. The small village of the "Baux de Provence", from the foot of the chain of Alpilles does not derogate from the rule and one cultivates the vine there since Antiquity.
We produced a wine of average quality a long time there, but whereas the zone of Alpilles was declared ready to produce Wines Of Higher Quality, a part of the vineyard was replanted out of noble type of vines in the middle of the Eighties.
From AOC Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, the wines of the area, thanks to the perseverance of the producers and to their combat to make conspicuous and improve quality of their production, passed in 95 in a new Controlled Label of origin, the AOC Les Baux de Provence.
Today it's a wine with whole share whose fame does not cease growing and who will charm you his powerful and tannic reds and of its rosy of a large smoothness.
