Ingredients for 6 servings
- 6 bananas
- 60 g of raw sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons of lime juice
- 50 g of butter
- 1 dl of brown rum
1/ preheat your oven to 220°C (gas mark 7-8).
2/ mix the sugar and cinnamon, spread half on a baking sheet.
3/ cut your bananas (without the skin) in half lengthwise and place them cut-side down on the sheet. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
4/ drizzle with lime juice.
5/ cut your butter into small pieces and distribute them over your bananas.
6/ bake in the oven for 7 to 10 minutes.
7/ heat your brown rum and pour it over your bananas when they come out of the oven.
8/ flambé your bananas (warning, always dangerous steps, protect your hands, keep children away and always have a clean towel nearby to smother the flames in case of loss of control).
Serve two flambéed banana halves on beautiful plates with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream...
A real delight.
