Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 200 g flour
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 1 tea glass of oil
- 1 packet of baking powder.
- 1 jar of apricot jam or marmalade
- 100 g roasted almonds
- 2 apricot halves
- A few sliced almonds
- A few angelica sticks
Biscuit:
1/ Break the whole eggs, add the powdered sugar and beat them well, until the mixture is whitish and foamy.
2/ Add the oil, flour and baking powder alternately.
3/ Pour the batter into a heart-shaped mold lined with buttered aluminum foil and bake in a preheated medium oven (180°c th4-5) for 45 minutes.
4/ Check for doneness and let cool slightly before unmolding.
Filling:
5/ Warm the jam, and stuff the cake which you will cut in two ; Spread it on top and on the edges with a spatula. Make the chopped almonds adhere all around and decorate the top with apricot halves and sliced almonds and angelica sticks to form two flowers.
