1- Preheat the oven to 160°C (gas mark 5)
2- Wash the figs, remove the ends and cut them into 8 pieces.
3- Mix the eggs and powdered sugar until the mixture whitens, add the semolina, baking powder, 1 pinch of salt and almond powder then incorporate the olive oil and half of the figs, stirring well with a wooden spatula.
In a loaf-style mold like Tefal pour in the batter then arrange the remaining fig quarters on top, pressing them in slightly. Bake in the middle of the oven for 45 minutes.
Let cool slightly before sprinkling with vanilla powdered sugar.
This fig cake will be even better if you prepare it the day before for the next day!!!
