Ingredients for 6 servings
- 125 g of flour
- 125 g of butter
- 250 g of sugar
- 1 bar of dark chocolate (approximately 200 g)
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 packet of baking powder
1 - Preheat the oven to 180°c (gas mark 6).
2 - Gently melt the chocolate in a saucepan over a bain-marie.
3 - Remove from heat, add the butter, flour and baking powder.
4 - In a bowl, whisk your egg yolks, sugar and a little water then incorporate into the chocolate mixture.
5 - whip the four egg whites until stiff peaks form, energetically mix two tablespoons of your whites with the chocolate then gently fold in the rest by lifting and cutting with a spatula.
6 - Pour everything into a buttered mold with high edges (or Teflon or Flexipan), and place in the oven, for approximately 35 minutes.
You can add powdered sugar or melted chocolate to decorate the top of the cake.
